Troubles about Memory Chip--25AA160C-I/SN

Good day,friends~ Can anyone here help me?
I bought a memory chip--25AA160C-I/SN from internet. When I doing project using it,I met some troubles.
The circuit outaged when typing data in,and then powering on again. However,I found the data inside is not what I typing in before.
I would like to ask you that have you met such troubles? How to solve it? If you want to find more detail about the memory chip,please look at the datasheet of 25AA160C-I/SN

Sounds like a defective memory chip. I doubt there's anything you can do about this. Maybe I'm wrong.
